Program Description

As a learning and development professional, a large percentage of your time is spent coaching and developing others.  Your role as coach is an important part of your day-to-day responsibilities.  It might be in the classroom; the hallway; in a team meeting; or, on a conference call, the coaching skills needed to be successful in today’s challenging workplaces are crucial.  In addition, L&D professionals serve as models of the behavior expected throughout the organization.  Like it or not, others look to you to demonstrate coaching at its finest!

This highly interactive session will examine the important role coaching plays in our organizations and challenge participants to examine and develop their own coaching skills and behaviors.

Our Facilitator

Diane Hamilton is the owner and founder of Calibra, a coaching and consulting firm focused on maximizing leadership potential. Hamilton’s passion is to build better workplaces and improve work lives. She brings over two decades of practical leadership, management and business experience to her coaching, training, consulting and speaking.  She helps organizations, large and small, tackle their leadership and organizational development issues.

She helped design and develop Calibra’s 360 degree feedback tool which she uses with clients around the globe.  She is a professional certified coach through the International Coach Federation.  Her interest in workplace coaching was fueled many years ago by a boss who provided daily lessons on “how not to coach.”
