Erin Lavery, VP Marketing

vp.marketing@atdmac.org

I want to begin by thanking you all for allowing me to serve as VP of Marketing for ATD-MAC. I will never forget the first event I ever attended – I was amazed to be surrounded by so many people who shared my passion for development. I continue to look forward to each chance I have to connect and interact with you! My goal in this position is to spread the word about what we do, connect you to all the fantastic resources ATD and ATD-MAC have to offer, and create spaces for us to interact and grow together online.

I have spent the last 7 years in some type of training capacity – from department-level onboarding to supervising trainees all the way to my current position in Leadership Development. One of the things I enjoy most about talent development is our unique position to inspire people, help them achieve their goals, and increase their confidence. I get a lot of joy out of experimenting with different design, development, and delivery theories to help pull the learner to the center of the learning experience. Thank you in advance for all the ways that having the chance to interact and network with you will challenge me to be better and learn even better ways of doing this! I look forward to seeing you online.

Dani Olsen, VP Membership

vp.membership@atdmac.org

I was always told that my role as a softball catcher was to be the coach on the field. I was the one player who could see the entire field and everything that happened on it, and that afforded me the ability to guide my teammates toward making the right play. That role has set the stage for me in my career. My goal now, as it was then, is to help people reach their full potential. Just like when I was on the softball field, I still try to use my vision of the entire field (from front-end to back-end, from day-to-day to company strategic initiatives) to provide the right resources and direction to set my teammates up for success.

ATD has proven to be an important resource to my own understanding of the role of L&D professionals in the workplace, expanded my skillset as a facilitator of learning, and provided great networking opportunities with highly talented colleagues in the community. As VP of Membership, I hope to help provide that opportunity to others!

Kevin Smith, VP Technology

vp.tech@atdmac.org

I’m so happy to be part of ATD-MAC and am eager to do more. For the past two years, as Publisher/Consultant with TEAM Resources (a company of four people) I have been working from home. This new experience led me to get more involved with ATD-MAC and discover what a great support network and value it is. I hope to part of the growth and evolution of the chapter and the greater organization.

With TEAM Resources I spend my time writing for, advising and training primarily credit union board members and executive. Previous to TEAM Resources, I spend almost ten years with the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) as Director of Volunteer Education developing print, online, webinar, and face-to-face training resources for the credit union audience. I also spent some time teaching English at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
