In this session, we’ll analyze how varying levels of competency trigger different needs and we'll have some fun relating it to our teaching, coaching, and performance management!

Presenters:

Mary Hoddy is an independent consultant who brings her skills in coaching, learning, change theory, and organizational development to teams who enjoy learning together as they accomplish their goals.

Mary spent most of her career designing and teaching programs in communication skills, coaching, respect in the workplace, performance management, and appreciative inquiry that focus on learning real skills. She was Director of Staff Education and Training at the Wisconsin Union at University of Wisconsin – Madison campus for over 27 years for over 1,400 student employees and 200 permanent staff. She developed a model of student-staff co-facilitation and loved coaching her team of student facilitators who taught a variety of live and online classes.

Shoko Miyagi joined the Division of Facilities Planning & Management at University of Wisconsin-

Madison in 2004. In her role as a member of Human Resources team as a Talent Development
